Farsley Celtic: Not available A below par Warrington Town slumped to a 5-2 defeat at Cantilever Park to Evo-Stik NPL First Division North new boys, Farsley FC. Town found themselves 1-0 as early as the second minute when visiting striker Gareth Grant gave them the lead. What made it worse was seeing goalkeeper Paul Pritchard carried off less than 5 minutes later, with an ankle injury. It was later reported that the number 1 was taken to hospital for an x ray. With no substitue kepper on the bench, River Humphreys donned the gloves. Town drew level through a deflected Chris Thompson effort on 11 minutes, which left Tom Morgan stranded. Farsley took the lead again soon after with Ryan Watson making it 2-1. A third goal follow before the break as Stephen Mallory hit a sweet shot past Humphreys on the stroke of half time. Watson added his second of the day and Farsley's forth on 52 minutes, which sparked Mike Duffy to striker back on 55 minutes, the scores then stood at 4-2. Grant grabbed his second goal on 57 minutes and rounded off the days scoring giving the visitors all 3 points, leaving Town without a home win out of 2 games. Manager Joey Dunn described the performance as "shambolic" after the game and now must lift the team for a difficult trip to Skelmersdale United on Tuesday evening. | ||||||
