Skelmersdale United: Not available

Warrington Town were unlucky to lose out 2-1 at home to arch-rivals Skelmersdale United with young midfielder Sam Finley's frustrations boiling over as he saw red in the final minute.

Missing regular strikers Anthony Hickey and Alan Collins through injury Warrington looked good value for their 1-0 lead at the break after River Humphreys rifled the ball home just before the break.

But Town lost more fire power up front when Chris Thompson limped off shortly after the re-start with substitute Rob Hardwick having to link up with Lee Madin in attack.

Skelmersdale equalised on 75 minutes with a great free kick which gave keeper Chris Oldfield no chance and then were gifted a second nine minutes from time when a Humphreys back pass fell short.

Finley who had been man marked throughout the game and picked up a yellow card in the first half for throwing the ball away in anger, saw red in the 89th minute after one tussle too many.

He now faces a lengthy ban following his fourth red card of the season.
