A well taken 95th minute goal from 17 year old substitute Dylan Glass earned Town a deserved point and kept up their record of being unbeaten in 2012.

After the previous Tuesday's excellent 4-0 win against Lancaster, manager Joey Dunn named the same starting eleven, with the only change being the return of Nick Jackson to the substitutes bench in place of youngster Rob Winrow.

It was the visitors who started the brightest of the two sides, centre half Keil O'Brien shooting wide when well placed before midfielder Lee Rick headed over when unmarked in the penalty area. Town gradually worked their way into the game, with midfielder Dale Wright shooting over.

Mossley should have taken the lead in the 9th minute, when midfielder Ben Richardson reached a throughball only to see his shot rebound to safety off the upright.

After this shock, Town worked their way into the game, with striker Rob Hardwick shooting wide from midfielder Allan Collins' square pass, award before Kyle Hamid shot wide from the edge of the penalty area.

Warrington came close to opening the scoring in the 20th minute, Rob Hardwick seeing Mossley keeper Martin Pearson off his line, launched a shot from fully 45 yards, which went narrowly the wrong side of the upright.

After the early scare, Town began to dominate the game, with Lee Madin seeing his curling effort go narrowly wide. The first flashpoint of the game occured in the 40 minute, when referee Mr Gratton appeared to award a goal when Mossley found the net, only to see his assistant flagging for a foul by striker Tom Denton on Paul Pritchard, as the Welshman came to collect a cross. After consultation, the goal was disallowed to the protests of the Mossley contingent inside of Cantilever Park.

A minute before the interval and the visitors did find the net, and this time the goal stood. An inswinging cross from the right hit the back of the unsighted Town centre half River Humpheys, which allowed Mossley striker Tom Denton to nip in and slot home from a yard. There was still time for Town to go close before half time, full back Matt Cross seeing his curling free kick strike the top of the crossbar and bounce behind.

The home side came out and once again dominated the majority of the play at the beginning of the second half, with Wright heading over once again. Despite having the majority of the play, they could not find a way through the visitors rearguard, and repeatedly failed to really test Pearson. Dale Wright went close once again, seeing his scuffed low free kick saved by Pearson at the foot of his post.

The introduction of substitute striker Chris Thompson gave Town a fresh impetus going forward and his strike partner Lee Madin went close soon after, seeing his curling effort go across the face of Pearson's goal and narrowly wide. The visitors were reduced to 10 men with twenty minutes to go, O'Brien seeing a second yellow card for sything down Thompson on the edge of the penalty area. With the substitution made by the visitors after this, they became even more difficult to break down.

The second flashpoint of the game occured with eight minutes left, Town full back Mike Duffy and Mossley captain Cavell Coo, contested a free ball, with Duffy catching Coo with two feet, and Mr Gratton producing a red card to the fiery Town full back. After a discussion with his assistant, he also showed a straight red card to Coo for the same offence, as the visitors were reduced to nine men. With this, Mossley began to defend even deeper, but came close to going two goals up, when Rick ran free, only to see his angled drive saved at full length by Pritchard.

With time running out, Town went close to equalising through Thompson, who appeared to be harshly adjudged offside. Deep into injury time, Town found the goal their play deserved, Chris Thompson produced a mazy run, and squared the ball into the box, straight into the path of substitute Dylan Glass, who put himself amongst the clubs youngest ever senior goal scorers when he swept home from eight yards. There was still time for Town to nearly win the game. Wright gettting on the end of a good team move only to see his low drive once again go narrowly wide of the post.
