AFC Fylde: Not available

WARRINGTON Town and fellow play off chasing AFC Fylde shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Cantilever Park on Saturday.
Despite having a good season, both teams began the game slowly, with the first half having a lack of chances in a game where defences were definitely on top.
The first chance of the game fell to Fylde’s midfielder Joe Booth, who blasted over from distance. Town’s captain Mike Tomlinson went close for Town, seeing his header flying narrowly over the bar. Town should have gone ahead in the 18th minute, when Alan Collins reached a throughball before Fylde keeper, Lewis Edge, only to toe poke wide of the goal.
The visitors took the lead, winger Kevin Townson missing a cross in the centre only to see left back Ryan Ederton rifle the ball home into the roof of the net from an angle.
Town went looking for an equaliser and the closest they came was when Louis Corrigan shot too close to Edge. Town were not awarded what looked like a certain penalty just before the break, when Collins was felled in the box by defender Phil Dougherty, referee Mr Moore waving away the protests of the Town players Town started the second half in a much quicker manner, taking the game to their visitors and were level within four minutes of the restart, Rob Hardwick timing his run to perfection to meet Alan Collins pull back from the dead ball line and thumped the ball home from the edge of the box, the shot taking a deflection on its way into the net.
Warrington were now in control of the game, and should have gone ahead just before the hour, but Town striker Gavin Salmon saw his effort saved by Edge when through on goal.
The visitors worked their way back into the game and striker Tom Cahill forced Town keeper, Paul Pritchard, returning from suspension, into a fine low save at his near post.
Town pressed forward and winger Anthony Hickey forced Edge to save one on one shortly before the end of the game. The last chance of the game fell to Fylde substitute Matt Walwyn, who saw his weak header easily dealt with by Pritchard.
The teams will meet again tomorrow (Tuesday) at AFC Fylde in the President’s Cup.
