A rampant first half hour fired South Shields to a 3-0 win at Warrington Town to end a run of five successive away defeats.
Mackenzie Heaney got them on their way on 12 minutes, when he fired back a cleared corner past Dan Atherton to open the scoring.
That was Shields’ first away goal since August, and having waited so long for one, they only had to wait two minutes more for another.
This time Heaney was the provider, his corner met by the towering Dillon Morse to find the net from six yards out.
There could have been three in quick succession, but Lucas De Balle couldn’t keep his header down.
Yellows skipper Josh Amis, making his first start of the season having returned from injury with four goals in five games off the bench, then had a penalty shout waved away as the hosts tried to get a foothold in the game, only to then be hit on the counter attack.
Heaney released Paul Blackett in behind and he took two touches to steady himself and then his third was to curl a delightful effort past Atherton.
Heaney hit the bar for what would have been four at half time, before the Yellows steadied themselves and tried to find a way back into the game in the second half but there was no way back.
